Ang Pinoy, kapag nabastos…

Kilala tayong mga Pinoy dahil sa pagiging maasikaso sa mga bisitang dayuhan. Pero paano kapag ang dayuhan ang iba ang trato sa atin sa mismong bayan natin? Siyempre nakakapikon. PETA’s theater-in-education courses

The Philippine Educational Theater Association (PETA) has announced that it is offering five-day courses on the use of creative means to teach.

Aside from offering regular theater and arts courses, PETA has also pioneered the Theater-in-Education (TIE) Courses to make classroom teaching more interesting and engaging by introducing creative means of teaching for regular subjects like Mathematics, English, Filipino, Science, etc.

I-Witness: Alamat ng mga puting Mangyan

“ALAMAT NG MGA PUTING MANGYAN”
(Myth of the White Mangyans)

Howie Severino travels to Mindoro to investigate the legend of “lost tisoys,” a tribe of Mangyans called Olandes, mountain people in Mindoro descended from shipwrecked Dutch sailors.

Various people give conflicting accounts, including a scholar who proclaims that the “white Mangyans” are a myth, along with other popular beliefs such as Mangyans with tails.

But are the white Mangyans really a myth? In a Mangyan tiangge in the remote village of Bait, Howie is told of Mangyan tisoys in the local high school. He finds them there and learns they come from a mountain community called Panaytayan.

Ang mga CD ni Sir Monico Atienza

Noong naglilipat ako ng mga gamit papunta sa bagong silid ko, inayos at nilinis ko ang koleksyon ko ng CDs at DVDs. Kabilang sa mga nakita kong CDs at VCDs ay yung may lamang materials tungkol sa First Quarter Storm na ipinahiram sa akin ni Prof. Monico Atienza.

Noong isang taon ay kinapanayam ko si Sir Nick sa pamamagitan ng email (tingnan ang Si Sir Monico Atienza at ang Kanyang mga Alaala ng First Quarter Storm) para sa isang story pitch na ginagawa ko sa opisina.
